BY MTF is a made-to-order fashion brand, based in Queens NYC, all handmade by me, Maria Teresa Furtado.

What started in my dorm room as a side hobby for a fashion lover ended up becoming my baby, BY MTF. I never had an intention of opening a shop, but when I did, i felt the little girl me in excited to get to play fashion designer everyday. Ultimately, because of that, everything i make is inspired by childlike authenticity-being unapologetically you and following your dreams solely for the fun of it.

All my products are 100% designed and sewed by me & my machines in my bedroom with lots of love and care. i also love the environment so all the fabrics I buy are 100% cotton or deadstock and made to order so theres never any excess products. BY MTF is all about being authentic, being true to you and not being afraid to step outside the box and follow ur dreams!
